Holiday Bonding Event
by Avni Hulyalkar
To celebrate the end of finals, on Thursday, December 17, Los Gatos Key Club hosted a holiday bonding event over Zoom. We invited all our members to relax, talk to friends and new people, and get in the holiday spirit. As all our club meetings have been virtual this semester, bonding with other members is that much harder. That’s why an event like this, where the sole purpose is to have fun, is so important. With every meeting, we aim to make our members feel included and heard, and this event took us one step closer.
We started off with a fun, “scavenger hunt” of sorts, organized by Jordan Chan, our secretary. Challenges involved finding holiday themed objects, like an ugly sweater, a candy cane, or a holiday scented candle. Furthermore, before the event, members had the opportunity to pick up a care package, full of festive treats to sweeten the experience. Then, we proceeded to play a few rounds of Among Us, which was entertaining, despite the fact that I spent most of the time as a ghost. Still, for me, this was a perfect way to celebrate the end of the semester and to start off my two weeks of sleeping in past noon!
